William R. “Rob” Sievers handles personal injury cases for Marks & Harrison. He represents people injured in car accidents, trucking crashes, and other motor vehicle accidents, as well as wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, and premises liability claims. His experience spans nearly 25 years, more than 200 jury trials.
Besides having extensive courtroom experience, Rob also spent six years representing insurance companies and carriers as a defense lawyer. Rob began his legal career clerking for Senior U.S. District Judge Glen M. Williams, then served as Assistant Attorney General and Associate Solicitor General. His broad experience includes state, federal, appellate, and trial-level matters. Rob is admitted to practice in Virginia State, before the Virginia Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 4th and 6th circuits.
He belongs to the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association, and American Association for Justice. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Elon University and his law degree from The Appalachian School of Law. Rob served as Student Bar Association president during law school and received the ABA’s SBA President of the Year award in 2002.
