John D. Ayers handles personal injury cases for Marks & Harrison. John served as Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) General Counsel from 2015–17 and led the Young Trial Lawyers Leadership group as its president. He also served on VTLA’s legislative, tort law, and education committees, and he has lobbied Virginia lawmakers on behalf of his fellow personal injury attorneys and the clients they serve.
His other legal group memberships include the American Association for Justice, the Christian Legal Society, the Hanover Bar Association, and the Powell American Inn of Court. He is also a member of the Maryland Association for Justice Leader’s Circle and has authored numerous legal publications. A native of Hanover County, Virginia, John earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Virginia Tech.
