R. Jamie Sinnott handles personal injury cases for Marks & Harrison throughout Virginia. He represents clients injured in car accidents, truck accidents, and dog bite incidents, as well as premises liability, construction accidents, and medical malpractice claims. Jamie’s practice also handles contract disputes and diminution-in-value cases.
In his 18 years of legal experience, Jamie has taken more than 50 jury trials to verdict and uses his insurance defense background to provide valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate injury claims. One of his largest cases was a $1.3 million jury verdict, where his client suffered neck injuries and radiculopathy in a car crash, requiring two spine surgeries. Jamie overcame the defense’s arguments of pre-existing conditions and rejected a top offer of just $200,000.

Jamie earned his law degree from Liberty University School of Law in 2008 and his undergrad from James Madison University in 2003. He is licensed in Virginia’s state and federal courts and belongs to the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Lewis F. Powell Jr. Inn of Court. In addition, Jamie has maintained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2015. In his free time, Jamie loves spending time with his wife and three children, and is passionate about sports, reading, and music.
