Summer is in full swing at Marks & Harrison, and we are thrilled to officially introduce our 2026 Summer Interns!

As part of our commitment to supporting the next generation of legal professionals, our summer internship program offers students a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at the realities of personal injury law. From client communication to trial preparation, these talented individuals are gaining invaluable experience while bringing incredible energy to our firm.

We sat down with this year’s cohort to learn more about their backgrounds, their insights into the legal field, and what inspired them to spend their summer with Marks & Harrison.

Meet Our 2026 Summer Interns

Haylee Collins

  • Education: Heading to the University of Richmond School of Law this fall!
  • The M&H Experience: “My goal this summer is to gain as much exposure to the legal field as possible. Working at Marks & Harrison has given me the amazing opportunity to directly experience the daily schedule and responsibilities of the attorneys and staff here at the Chesterfield office.”
  • Role Swap for a Day: Any of our firm attorneys. “The chance to witness the application of legal knowledge to actual cases here has been extremely valuable. I believe that I would swap roles with any of the attorneys here for a day because I admire their ability to strategize with a team about a case and put that plan into action for the benefit of a client.”
  • Fun Fact: Attended Mississippi State University for undergrad.

Olivia Adkins

  • Education: Richard Bland College
  • The M&H Experience: “I was interested in interning with Marks & Harrison because it offers an opportunity to gain professional experience, learn from experienced attorneys and staff, and develop skills that will benefit me throughout my career. The most exciting part so far has been seeing how different parts of the legal process come together and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the firm helps clients navigate difficult situations.”
  • Role Swap for a Day: Attorney Mike Braggs. “He participates in court proceedings and depositions. It would be interesting to experience that side of the legal profession firsthand and see how attorneys prepare, present cases, and advocate for their clients.”
  • Fun Fact: I am actively involved as a Citizen of the Chickahominy Tribe. I have worked at culture camps, traveled to conferences, and serve on the Youth Council. I enjoy helping teach younger generations about our traditions and culture.

Mac Dixon

  • Education: Rising third-year student at the University of Virginia
  • The M&H Experience: “As I began considering life beyond my time at college, I wanted an opportunity to see law in practice. Through this opportunity, I’m much more confident in my decision to pursue law. Seeing how the firm communicates with clients clearly and effectively at each stage, from intake to trial, has been nothing short of impressive.”
  • Role Swap for a Day: The Intake Team. “I’d love to switch spots with someone on the intake crew—hearing all the personalities who call in with a new crazy story would keep me on my toes!”
  • Fun Fact: I’ve met Bono twice.

We are incredibly proud to have Haylee, Olivia and Mac with us this season!
