James Mick Kessel worked as a volunteer at the 2011 Summer Special Olympics, held at the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA. The Summer Special Olympics is Virginia’s largest statewide competition, The Summer Games, allows more than 1,200 Special Olympics Virginia athletes to compete each June. Athletes come from all corners of the state to compete in swimming, powerlifting, softball, track & field, bowling and tennis.
