Marks & Harrison attorney John D. Ayers was interviewed by Rachel Depompa for a story highlighting how an ABC agent, working undercover but driving while intoxicated, crashed into another driver at a stoplight. Earlier in the year, Ayers helped his client receive $70,000 in damages from the state of Virginia as a result of the crash. You can watch the story here.
NBC-12 also profiled a case Lori L. Smith is working on in Hopewell. Smith’s client is trying to access her spouse’s uninsured motorist coverage after a car accident left her injured in 2010. The two women were married in 2010 in Washington D.C., but because Virginia does not recognize same-sex marriages, State Farm is denying the claim. You can watch the story here.
